blog / software / undergrad stuff

whoami: I'm a first year graduate student in the Computer Science Department at Dartmouth.

I did my undergrad at MSRIT (click here for more info and for some interesting things that come to mind during my time there), Bangalore, India. I am working under Prof. Paul Thompson in the field of Information Retrieval. More specifically, we are working on a graph based approach to natural document clustering. Our approach uses a tool popular to statistical physicists. More details, soon. My courses are listed below:

Fall 2008
-Computer Architecture (Graduate level) (CS 107)
  -Graduate Thesis Research

Summer 2008 (until August 10th)
  -Research on clustering for documents.

Spring 2008
-Advanced Theory of Computation (CS 109)
  -Bioinformatics (CS 143)
  -Research Credit (Concentration on IR)

Winter 2008
  -Computer Graphics (CS 52)
-Applied Statistics and Probability For Engineers (ES 103)
  -Research Credit (Concentration on IR)

Fall 2007
  -Security and Privacy (CS 38)
-Introduction to Computational Neuroscience (CS 153)
  -Operating Systems (CS 58).

Some simple wrappers/scripts I have written are available here. You could find something useful.

If and when I do have the time, I try to maintain a weblog.

My resume will be available here soon enough. Nonetheless, if you are eager to make me an offer I can't refuse, please send me an email at anuj.bhattREMOVETHIS@dartmouth.edu and be assured I will mail it to you. :)
